Spend a day at the ranch with the Cortez family. Come as early as you like, but the horses are fed at 7am and we eat at 8am. Then it's off on a trail ride in the beautiful Hill Country State Natural Area. Larry and Chris will give you a lesson in the arena after that, and practice some roping. Then it's in for some of Jose's homemade enchiladas (or something equally good). After lunch relax at the pool, or play horseshoes or volleyball or basketball or pool. Or swing in a hammock and take a nap. 3pm takes you on the afternoon trail ride, and then back into the pool or hot tub to relax. Dinner (Jose makes some great bar-b-que) is at 6, followed by dessert, a fun-filled relaxing hayride, and then roast marshmallows out by the campfire. By this time, all of the stars are out and it's incredible. You won't want to leave the ranch. This is an outstanding value for that special horse lover in your life! |
